洗足学園音楽大学のミュージカルコースの教員で、まだ東京でのパフォーマンス経験は少なく、最初の出演となったのは昨春にAcid Queen役で出演したTokyo International PlayersのThe Who’s Tommy。来日前は、ジョン・ドイル演出の『スウィーニー・トッド』の北米ツアーに参加。その他の出演作品は『チェス』（フローレンス役）、『クレイジー・フォー・ユー』（ポリー役）、『チャーリー・ブラウン』（ルーシー役）、『オクラホマ』（ローリー役）、『オリバー』（ステファニー・J・ブロック演じるナンシーの姉ベット役）、『パレード』（ルシール役）など。また、長年にわたりセレブリティ・クルーズとホーランド・アメリカ・クルーズのリード・シンガーとして、世界中を旅している。最近の大好きな「役」は娘、ペネロープにとっての「マミー」。

Marita Stryker
A professor of musical theatre at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, Marita is still new to the Tokyo performance community, first appearing as the Acid Queen in Tokyo International Players’ production of The Who’s Tommy this past Spring. Prior to coming to Japan, Marita toured the US with the National Tour of John Doyle’s Sweeney Todd. Other favorite productions include Chess (Florence), Crazy for You (Polly), Charlie Brown (Lucy), Oklahoma (Laurey), Oliver (playing Bet to Stephanie J. Block’s Nancy), and Parade (Lucille). She sang and danced her way around the world on cruise ships! Her favorite role these days is “Mommy” to her daughter Penelope. www.maritastryker.com
